This course requirement is outside of classroom time and it is up to you to get your time scheduled. While class is in session be prepared to complete a minimum of ten hours of clinical time in the hospital per week. You will be notified when you are released to begin clinical hours. In June and July of 2023 you will be required to attend one of two scheduled computer testing days and two mandatory course days each month to complete PHTLS, ACLS, and PALS. You will also work toward completing your field clinical hours. When the instructors determine you have met specific course requirements you will begin your Field Capstone Project. During this time you will tasked with completing a predetermined number and variety of ambulance calls where you function as the team leader. Other details: 1. Students are required to provide their own stethoscope 2. Technology will be focus of the curriculum. Students MUST have access to a computer/laptop, printer, and the Internet. 3. This class expects students to have computer skills and communication skills. 4. The textbook is written for an individual with reading skills at the 10th grade level. Graduation for this course will be July 19, 2023. You will have until December 16, 2023 to complete your Field Capstone Project.
