Maintenance Building 4979 Falcon Road, Rockford, Illinois Class begins August 8, 2022 and meets every Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm until September 29, 2022. Application Process
The application due date is Wednesday, July 20th, 2022. You will receive notice of your acceptance (or denial) into the program by Wednesday, July 27th, 2022.
If you are accepted into the program you will need to gather proof of specific immunizations from your private physician and/or your school district. A detailed list of the records needed is in the Student Catalog (see the link below).
Upon acceptance, all students will have a background check. Students will meet with the Program Director and/or EMS Medical Director regarding any information that may be a barrier to course/clinical completion and/or licensure as an EMT. There are some barriers that will result in immediate dismissal from the course.
EMT Course
During this course you will complete a minimum of 182 hours in the classroom and clinical setting.
The course requires both final practical exams and a final written exam (see the course schedule below).
Testing for licensure will be discussed with you in class.
