Spring Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Class

FHN Memorial Hospital
1045 West Stephenson Street, Freeport, Illinois 61032

Class begins January 5, 2022 and meets every Monday and Wednesday from 6 pm
to 10 pm until May 25, 2022. 


EMT Course Information​

​Qualifications
  • You must be 17 years of age **
  • You must have a high school diploma or GED **
** At the time of the national exam you must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED

Application Process
The application due date is December 22, 2021. You will receive notice of your acceptance (or denial) into the program by December 29, 2021. 

If you are accepted into the program you will need to gather proof of specific immunizations from your private physician and/or your school district. A detailed list of the records needed is in  the Student Catalog (see the link below).

EMT Course
During this course you will complete a minimum of 166 hours in the classroom and clinical setting. 

The course requires both final practical exams and a final written exam (see the course schedule below). 

Testing for licensure will be discussed with you in class.
