Spring 2024 Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Class

FHN Memorial Hospital

Class begins Wednesday, January 3, 2024 and meets every Monday and Wednesday through May 22, 2024 (with one Saturday class on April 27th from 9 am to 1 pm).

EMT Course Information​

​Qualifications
  • You must be 17 years of age **
  • You must have a high school diploma or GED **
** At the time of the national exam you must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED

Application Process
The application due date is Friday, December 15th, 2023 at noon. You will receive notice of your acceptance (or denial) into the program by Thursday, December 21st, 2023.

If you are accepted into the program you will need to gather proof of specific immunizations from your private physician and/or your school district. A detailed list of the records needed is in the Student Catalog (see the link below).

EMT Course
During this course you will complete a minimum of 166 hours in the classroom and clinical setting. 

The course requires both final practical exams and a final written exam (see the course schedule below). 

Testing for licensure will be discussed with you in class.
